Instant Release of Forecasted Parts
This powerful tool allows you to manage your forecasted parts, release quantities as needed, and maintain a seamless supply chain with Venkel.
Step 1: Understanding the Columns
Begin by navigating to the "Forecast Releases" section in your Venkel account.
Familiarize yourself with the columns displayed:
- Venkel Part Number: The unique identification number for each Venkel part.
- Customer Part Number: Your internal reference number for the part.
- Reserve Stock: The stock reserved for you this quarter based on your Estimated Annual Usage (EAU).
- Forecasted Quantities: Months of the quarter (e.g., Sep-Dec for the 4th quarter) with quantiles based on your forecasted quantities.
- Release Date: Editable field where you specify the date you want to release the parts.
- Required Quantity: Input field for the quantity you wish to release.
- Actions: A button labeled "Add to Request" to initiate the release request.
Step 2: Adding Parts to Release Request
To release parts, select the items you want to release by ticking the checkboxes in the respective rows. You can select one or multiple parts.
Input the requested release date for the selected parts.
Specify the quantity you wish to release in the "Required Quantity" field.
Click the "Add to Request" button.
Step 3: Reviewing and Confirming the Release Request
At the bottom of the page, a list will form with the parts you've selected for release. Review the list to ensure accuracy.
If everything looks correct, click the "Submit Request" button to send the release request to Venkel's Supply Chain Services (SCS) Analysts.
Step 4: Confirmation and Follow-up
Your request will be sent to a Venkel SCS Analyst for processing. They will reach out to you if there are any problems or clarifications needed regarding your request.
You will receive a confirmation once your release request has been successfully processed, helping you maintain a smooth supply chain.
