Thin Film Resistors
Thin Film Resistors are used in a variety of applications where precision and small drifts of resistance are required. These types of resistors can achieve tight tolerances and low TCRs due to the materials used, their construction, and the special process involved in manufacturing them. These Thin Film resistors consist of a combination of Nickel and Chromium (also known as Nichrome) that is sputtered onto a ceramic substrate and then etched. Thin Films offer tighter tolerances and have much lower TCRs than your standard thick film resistors.
