Anti–Sulfuration resistors are designed to help increase the reliability of thick film resistors in sulfuric or contaminated environments. This contamination of sulfur in the resistive-termination interface can create an “open” mode due to Silver Sulphide (Ag2S) formation. Silver Sulphide growth can occur with as little as 1-3ppm sulphur and these anti-sulfuration resistors have been proven to prevent these types of failures.
