Q: How long have you been working here?

A: I have been working here for 22 years.

Q: What is the best thing you like about working here?

A: I really enjoy all of the different aspects of the engineering department as well as being involved in many of the day to day decisions that come through my department. The most interesting part of my position is taking on many challenges that my role requires from a variety of topics.  This requires knowledge on many different topics and answering unique and rare questions from engineers throughout the industry.  There always seems to be something new to learn from a component and manufacturing standpoint. More information is always better and it helps to understand the relationship to outgoing quality.

Q: Where are you originally from?

A: I was born in Austin, raised in Corpus Christi, and went to college at the University of Texas – Arlington.

Q: Any favorite sports teams?

A: I am a Texas Ranger and Dallas Cowboy fan as I was in Arlington for years. I am also a San Antonio Spurs fan.

Q: What is your family like?

A: I have 2 young daughters and got married in New Zealand in 1996.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I really enjoy hiking and playing golf. I’ve hiked the Milford track in New Zealand, Glacier Nation park in Montana, Chile, Gold Coast Australia, Tasmania was very unique,  Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and other wonderful places. I love all aspects of the game of Golf as it requires all 3 phases to be in sync to shoot even par.  I love hard golf courses with good layouts that makes you use all the clubs in your bag. Having lots of water and sand on the golf course helps you focus and usually makes me play better.

Q: What is something that people may not know about you?

A: I am a mathematics professor at Austin Community College.
