Hi and welcome to the February 2010 issue of 1st Alert.

I wanted to thank all of those who responded with comments and suggestions on the MLCC vs. Film Cap Comparison Guide. I will be looking at possibly adding additional types of Film caps for comparison purposes once they are analyzed.

In this month's issue we are introducing one extended voltage offering for the 47uF in the 1206 case size: 10V. Additionally, we are adding two new ECD's (Electrical Characteristics Data) to our library for the 0805 case size. The values are a 2.2uF and 4.7uF. We added these in response to customer requests. If you have a need for ECD data for a specific capacitor, I invite you to request it and we will be glad to consider adding it to our library or perhaps simply provide the information directly to you.
